The beef ban incident was more of a drive by the government to safeguard the interest of the community the believes in worshiping cows and that the cows are motherly in their religious books. Although, there is a world of people who crave for beef to which there are certain suppliers who have to pay the price.
Take this horrific incidence for example, Rizwan and Mukhtiar, two men suspected to transport beef in the city of Haryana were made to eat a mixture of cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd and ghee as a requital for their offence.
There has been a number of instances where the transporters are forced to intake the disgusting composition called panchgavya. Volunteers of Gau Rakshak Dal are responsible for such acts.
Last year, Haryana made cow slaughter punishable with rigorous imprisonment up to 10 years, and a fine of Rs 1 lakh.
Dharmendra Yadav, president of the Gurgaon Gau Rakshak Dal, told The Indian Express that volunteers had intercepted a vehicle transporting “700 kg of beef from Mewat to Delhi” on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.
The two men, Rizwan and Mukhtiar are arrested by the police, but the police is unaware about them being mistreated by the Gau Rakshak Dal volunteers.
The ban is a pretty serious claim.
